The observatory on the Gurten is half open

Open Observatory night: Stargazing

Free star observation

Observing the stars through a telescope

Visit the observatory on five selected dates throughout the year, funded by Migros Kulturprozent. Experience solar observation on three Sundays from 1 p.m to 4 p.m  and explore the fascinating world of stars through our telescope on two Saturday evenings from 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. during the winter.

On various days, you can observe the sun through a telescope on Gurten and gain exciting insights into our solar system. The event is weather-dependent and will be rescheduled or canceled in unfavorable conditions. Sign up on the list to be informed about any changes before the event. The final decision on the event's execution will be announced on our website two days in advance.
